About me

I'm Manuela Schappert, alias Luna Mea,

German artist, illustrator and student for visual game design

at the Rostock Design Academy.

I draw digitally as well as traditionally and I mainly use figurative, surreal and abstract elements and play with strong contrasts.

Extreme contrasts fascinate me, so my work is always characterized by the strongest possible contrasts in a single picture or I switch back and forth between extremely dark and friendly motifs.

These extremes also run through my digital concept art.

I mainly create disturbing, creepy beings and places, but as a contrast to that I also have a preference for colorful, saturated and cute characters and areas.
